Agricultural Requisites and Mechanizations Ltd was founded by a family of Staffordshire farmers as a progression from their existing agricultural contracting business. An operation which provided corn threshing and straw baling services to local farmers. The family had first-hand experience of the hard, manual labour input required in farming of that time and having some ideas for mechanizing certain activities they incorporated Agricultural Requisites and Mechanizations Ltd in October 1947. Father Arthur and sons George and Stanley were later joined by a third son – Eric.
