During the last 30 years we have learned how reed beds work, we understand the contaminant removal mechanisms and we have helped develop modes of reed bed operation to optimise removal. ARM has been at the forefront of innovation in wetland technology, we have introduced the concept of Forced Bed Aeration ™ into the UK and to date we have incorporated it into more than 60 reed bed solutions. We have introduced the ‘French System’ into the UK under the Phragmifiltre brand which treats sewage straight from the toilet and we have introduced the Danish sludge treatment by Reed Bed concept into the UK. ARM can now, in its 70th Year, Justifiably claim to be the premier exponent of the reed bed technology in the UK and to have a reputation which is recognised and acknowledged by its peers around the world.
