In 1991 ARM designed and constructed its first reed bed for a water company Southern Water Services LTD at the small village of Redlynch in Hampshire.
The following year the company designed and constructed a 20,000 square metre reed bed system for Southern Water Services Ltd at Redgate Mill near Tunbridge Wells. The system provides tertiary treatment for the town of Crowborough which has a population of 25,000 people. This reed bed is the largest of its kind in England and Wales.
